Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup Lombard IL | IICRC Certified

Every scene begins with listening. We meet you at the door, confirm which areas are affected, and set a clean work path from the curb or alley to the room so hallways, stairs, elevators, and vestibules stay protected. In vintage courtyard buildings near Lilacia Park and St Charles Road, we coordinate with management to determine the proper scope of the crime scene or trauma cleanup service required.

Technicians complete a forensic-informed survey to find impact and secondary transfer you may not see right away. That includes ceiling edges, plaster seams, trim lines, grout and thresholds, stair treads, door casings, and nearby HVAC returns or gravity ducts common in older flats. We remove only what is necessary to reach the true source on both porous and nonporous surfaces.

Disinfection is done with hospital-grade solutions at documented contact times. Where indicated, we set HEPA filtration or negative air to keep unaffected rooms clean. Before the space returns to service, we verify with ATP and visual checks and hand you a concise summary of exactly what was done and why.

Our services go beyond basic cleaning. We also handle:

Pro tip for Lombard homes and condos: If the scene has been released and it is safe, turn off ceiling fans in the affected room and set that zone to Off. Close nearby returns so air does not carry odor into common areas. Skip deodorizers. We will handle odor at the source once containment is in place. Do not attempt a DIY crime scene cleanup; the dangers are real and should be handled by our professional staff. We are trained to know how to keep ourselves safe while cleaning your property.

We work efficiently to restore the area while respecting your privacy.

Unattended Death Cleanup Services in Lombard Illinois

When someone passes away alone, it can be a difficult and emotional situation. We at ACT Cleaners are here to help with our unattended death cleanup services. We understand the challenges families face during these times.

Decomposition moves faster than most people expect. In a day or two, fluids can wick through carpet and padding, under baseboards and tack strip, and into subfloor and joists. Odor compounds enter paint, plaster, and drywall. Insects can move contamination into adjacent rooms. Garden-level units off Main Street, slab additions south of Butterfield, and older bungalows near St Charles Road each spread damage in different ways. Our job is to stop movement quickly and reach the true source layer so the space is safe again.

How we restore the space: We stabilize the room, map primary and secondary impact zones, including seams and cavities, and protect routes from the driveway or alley to the work area.

We remove only the materials that hold contamination, whether that is soft goods, limited sections of carpet and pad, baseboard and tack strip, a measured cut of drywall, or a small section of subfloor where needed. We apply EPA-registered disinfection with verified contact times and pay extra attention to grout, seams, and other micro-porous transitions.

When indicated, we run HEPA filtration or negative air. The visit ends with ATP and visual clearance checks, regulated waste manifests, and insurer-ready paperwork.

Pro tip for Lombard properties: If it is safe and the scene has been released, close the door to the affected room, set the thermostat fan to Auto, and lightly cover the nearest floor supply with painter’s tape and a disposable plate. Do not bag or wash textiles. Keeping items undisturbed helps us document properly and control odor when we arrive.

Suicide Cleanup | Trauma Scene Cleanup in Lombard IL

If you are here because of a suicide, we are sorry. We work quietly and on your timetable. The team begins with a review of blood patterns to follow impact and secondary transfer across ceilings, wall seams, floor transitions, soft furnishings, and nearby registers.

We build a discreet work zone, remove affected materials, disinfect at verified contact times, and treat odor at the source. Before the area returns to service, we complete ATP and visual clearance checks, manage regulated medical waste with full documentation, and provide insurer-ready reports. If you ask, we share after-care resources for families in Lombard, Villa Park, Glen Ellyn, and Downers Grove.

Don’t settle for second best, contact us for any suicide scene or trauma scene cleanup you need completed professionally in Lombard Illinois.

Pro tip for families: Choose a single spokesperson for updates and claim questions. If possible, arrange arrival through a side drive or alley to keep things private. Please leave clothing and personal items where they are until we document and advise.

Infection control focus: Our protocols address bloodborne pathogens and resilient organisms such as C diff and MRSA. We match chemistry to organism and surface and verify contact times, with extra passes on seams and porous transitions for reliable clearance.

Pro tip for managers and homeowners: If it is safe, switch off plug-in scent diffusers and floor robots and post a simple Closed for Cleaning note so foot traffic does not track through the area before we arrive.

We use advanced equipment and approved cleaners. This ensures we eliminate all biohazards effectively.

Health risks associated with blood can be serious. Don’t try to clean blood yourself. It’s risky and may not be thorough enough. Let us handle it safely and professionally. We’re just a phone call away, ready to restore your space to a safe condition.
